Walks down the tunnel’ – Report shares what Rangers fans did to Willie Collum before kick off

This Is Ibrox claims that while Willie Collum warmed up before kickoff against Ayr United, he was subjected to “dog’s abuse” by the Rangers supporters.

The Gers-focused source claimed on Twitter in the lead-up to the game on February 10 that the official did not receive a hearty welcome from the Ibrox stands before kickoff. This Scottish Cup encounter is the first that Collum has managed for the Light Blues since he was the subject of controversy when serving as the video assistant for the Old Firm derby on December 30.

“With eighteen minutes to go, Willie Collum is already receiving dog abuse from the stands as he walks down the tunnel following his warm-up,” writes This Ibrox.

Rangers supporters heckled Collum at Ibrox following the Celtic dispute.
Following the 2-1 Celtic win at Parkhead before the New Year, Collum swiftly waved off what appeared to be a handball by Alistair Johnston in his own box, causing a great deal of repercussions.

Although the club responded angrily to Philippe Clement’s earlier VAR performance, it has turned out to be the sole setback of his rule thus far. The Belgian has downplayed the matter.

Although this was not the first time the official had made contentious choices that Rangers had to deal with, it was thought that the hierarchy’s response cost them the upper hand in this particular case.

Collum assumes leadership as Clement’s team looks to go on their quest for an improbable treble, considering how the season began under Michael Beale. The contest is further enhanced by Scott Brown’s presence on the sidelines as the manager of Ayr United, but if the Light Blues perform at their present level, they should be too strong for his Scottish Championship team.

Oscar Cortes, Mohamed Diomande, and Fabio Silva—all three January additions—begin at Ibrox.
