Barry Ferguson shares fresh Ryan Jack admission ahead of Rangers clash v Ayr United.
Rangers manager Philippe Clement will start Ryan Jack against Ayr United in the Scottish Cup, according to Barry Ferguson.
The 31-year-old has returned from injury in recent weeks, appearing on the bench against Hibernian and St Mirren before making his long-awaited debut against Livingston. However, he was absent from the side that defeated Aberdeen.
However, with Clement acknowledging that Jack was only absent as a precaution to manage his workload, Ferguson has stated that he has “a feeling” that the Scottish international will start Saturday’s (10 February) match.
During an interview with The Go Radio Football Show (9 February, 9:00)Breaking: Another Super star exited Rangers this week on loan to Cruzeiro., he cautioned against relying on injured players who had returned to play a few games before missing the next few.
“He’s definitely doing the right thing in managing them; he did it with Ryan Jack earlier in the week.”
Tom Lawrence took up that center midfield job, and now he’s announced that Lawrence will not be in the squad.
“I’ve got a feeling that Ryan Jack will come back into that midfield birth alongside John Lundstram.”
Philippe Clement to let Ryan Jack loose for Rangers
During Clement’s tenure at Ibrox, numerous prominent Rangers players spent excessive time on the treatment table due to injuries. While it has not yet been overcome, things appear to be moving in the right direction.
Clement has efficiently rested and rotated his team, allowing players to return to the fold fitter for longer periods of time without breaking down week after week.
Despite a few exceptions, such as Danilo and Kemar Roofe’s catastrophic injuries, the Light Blues have established a team capable of being injury-free for much of the season.
Hopefully, Ferguson is correct in his prognosis, and Jack will start from the beginning on Saturday as he continues to improve his match fitness.
