Rangers injury news: Doctor shares Zak Lovelace update post B Team return

Doctor updates Zak Lovelace on the Rangers injury following the B Team’s return.

Dr Rajpal Brar says that Zak Lovelace, a striker for Rangers, will probably take a few weeks to return to the main squad.

The 18-year-old has responded to the news that he is back playing for the B Team after suffering a hamstring injury in October.

The Englishman entered the game in the 54th minute of Wednesday, February 7th’s 3-0 loss to Celtic at Lennoxtown.

Physical therapist and sports scientist Brar spoke exclusively with Ibrox News about his circumstances. He said:

“This was probably a Grade 3 hamstring tear, considering he had not played for the B Team since October and had only recently returned to it.

His return to the B squad will determine how he handles training with the first team and how quickly he recovers from those sessions.

“It would resemble weeks rather than days.

“Obviously, the B team’s intensity will be lower, allowing the club to assess his readiness before reintroducing him to the first team through bounce matches.”

Lovelace is eager to rejoin the Rangers first team?

The Englishman took more than a month to play another game, even though he was scheduled to resume training in December.

Given the teenager’s extraordinary talent, it is unclear how Philippe Clement intends to reintegrate him into the starting lineup.

The 18-year-old has impressed Derek Ferguson as well, and if he wants to commit to the team in the long run, he will need to play frequently.

In unrelated Rangers news, previously unreleased video shows what the Ibrox supporters did to Oscar Cortes v. Livingston.
