Cowboys’ Dak Prescott claims he would’ve put 50 on Eagles if he played his ‘best game’

Dak Prescott believes the Cowboys would have buried the Eagles deeper if he played to the top of his potential in Week 14.

Leading the way, quarterback Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys thrashed the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night. Dallas defeated its fierce rival 33–13 in Arlington, but Prescott felt that the score would have been even higher if he had played with all of his boosters activated.

During the press conference after the game, Prescott stated, “If I play my best game, we were putting a 50 up there” (h/t ESPN’s Ed Werder).

With 24 of 39 completions for 271 yards and two touchdowns, Prescott finished the game with no interceptions. Prescott said that he did not have a perfect game since he fumbled and was sacked three times, losing fifteen yards. Despite Prescott’s errors, the Cowboys dealt Philadelphia a devastating blow, as the team battled fiercely against Dallas’ formidable defence.

Despite committing three turnovers, only managing 17 first downs, and just one try inside the red zone, the Eagles managed 324 yards overall.

Dak Prescott knows there’s a long way to go for the Cowboys

Cowboys fans should appreciate Prescott’s self-awareness, even though Philadelphia fans won’t agree with what he said. Even though Dallas as a unit performed admirably in Week 14, Prescott is aware that the club still has room for improvement and he won’t allow a significant victory like the one against the Eagles give him a false feeling of confidence.

The Cowboys improved their record to 10-3 and extended their winning streak to five games. They will now prepare for a Week 15 road matchup against the Buffalo Bills.
