“Fantastical”  4 Lads can’t believe what SFA did to Rangers.

Four Lads have reacted as the SFA announced their decision on Rangers midfielder Dujon Sterling on Thursday, February 8th.

They opted to uphold the punishment despite Gers’ appeal of the red card he received in the 2-1 win over Aberdeen on Tuesday, February 6.

Don Robertson dismissed the 24-year-old after capturing Jack Mackenzie for a tackle that was termed “serious foul play”.

On Twitter, Four Lads reported that Dujon Sterling’s appeal for a red card was unsuccessful. Decision upheld. “Remarkable, such a poor conspiracy.”

Rangers hard done by Sterling verdict

The evidence that the red light was unnecessary emphasizes the need for more consistent and transparent officiating practices.

Sterling’s dismissal for “serious foul play” sparked debate among fans and pundits alike.

Inconsistencies can also occur in penalty judgments, as evidenced by the dispute regarding alleged handballs by Rangers players during the same game.

Such disparities erode the game’s legitimacy and undermine trust in officiating authorities like the SFA.

While referee judgments can be subjective, clearer criteria and more effective use of technology, such as VAR, are required to assure fairness and accuracy.

The inability to correct clear errors, like as Sterling’s red card, exacerbates frustration and weakens the legitimacy of Scottish football’s regulatory bodies.

It’s no surprise that fans from all clubs are frequently upset about official decisions.
