Some people don’t think the New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are rivals, among them defensive end Cameron Jordan. “When we played them the second time it just proved everything that I believed in,” Jordan recently said about the Buccaneers to Ross Jackson, host of Locked On Saints. Jordan is more interested in the battle than the war, regardless of the Bucs’ three division titles in a row. Given that his team has a 40-25 all-time advantage over the Buccaneers and that he is 18-10 versus them in his career, Jordan might have a case in this regard. Tampa Bay more than makes up for any head-to-head losses to the Saints with the quantity of diamonds adorning its Super Bowl ring. Jordan lacks something that former center Ryan Jensen possesses.

Jordan did something most NFL players don’t do: after pretending he didn’t know Jensen’s name, he made fun of the All-Pro center for having a career-ending injury. “I don’t know his name, he’s an offensive lineman, whatever his name is, I won’t think of it, uhhhh, he’s been hurt.”

The defensive end anxiously sipped his martini and tried to move the segment forward without having to finish the chat until the host asked him what team the player played for. This was Adams’ attempt to convince Jordan and her producers to generate the name. Eventually, Jordan resumed his comedic career when Adams came up with the name for him. That was Jordan’s response: “I don’t.” Jordan’s infatuation with the Buccaneers, their players, general managers, and coaches came to an end with this chapter.
