“I’m over the moon to be here”: Leigh on completing Bradford move

Tommy Leigh, who joined Bradford City from MK Dons on Friday, is excited to begin his new journey.

The 24-year-old, who joined the Dons on a free transfer in the summer, has scored once in 17 appearances. Leigh, who had gone unnoticed at Stadium MK for almost a month, caught the eye of the Bantams, who currently rank seventh in League Two.

Leigh has agreed to a two-and-a-half-year contract with Valley Parade for an undisclosed amount.

“I am over the moon to be here,” said Leigh on Bradford’s website. “I am looking forward to it and cannot wait to get started. I’m excited to get to know everyone, the players and the staff, and then prepare for next Saturday.”

Bantams manager Graham Alexander, formerly of MK Dons, was pleased with his fourth signing of the window: “Adding Tommy to our attacking options is another exciting addition.” He is versatile and has demonstrated his goal-scoring ability thus far in his career.

“Tommy is up for the challenge ahead and we want to help him take his game to the next level.”
