One constant thing that has been documented about Celtic’s performances this season under Brendan Rodgers is the slugging nature of it all.
While supporters call for improved efforts that would lead to more reliable outcomes, Matt O’Riley is one man who
has appeared to be driving a Ferrari through the Monaco Grand Prix.
The Celtic playmaker has “set a really high bar” this season, according to Neil Lennon, but on Wednesday night at
Easter Road during the team’s 2-1 victory over Hibernian, he wasn’t himself. Lennon made this observation to Sky

Similar to his performance against Aberdeen, the 23-year-old’s play displayed rust and lacked the fluidity that Celtic
supporters have grown accustomed to.
Even the greatest players in the world are permitted to have these days off, though, since Matt O’Riley has shown this
season that he is still Scotland’s best player, even in his quieter moments.
The fact that Adam Idah, a January loan signing, scored a brace for Hibs, and that Celtic’s entire forward line was
altered doesn’t assist him either.
Not to be overlooked is Nicolas Kuhn, who was also given a head start. In order to improve his performances, Matt
O’Riley needs to establish fresh bonds with these players.

Even though the team and supporters would prefer that he stay, the money might be too much to refuse.
Fans would be more understanding if the ruling class truly generated two productive transfer windows since Rodgers
came back.
However, that hasn’t happened at all, and it doesn’t exactly improve the atmosphere.
