The Penn State Nittany Lions were eliminated from the College Football Playoff, following a 27-24 loss to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the Orange Bowl.
The matchup between two of the most storied programs in college football history featured a few intriguing NFL draft prospects, but only one has been viewed as a potential top-five pick in 2025.

Carter had to make a big choice as the season was coming to an end: play his final year at Penn State or enter the NFL draft. Carter made his final decision on Friday. Carter will skip his senior year and enter the 2025 NFL Draft, per On3Sports.
