Bruins to Host Heart Health Night, Presented by Tufts Medicine, on February 8

BOSTON – On Thursday, February 8, at TD Garden, the Boston Bruins will host Heart Health Night, presented by Tufts Medicine, during their game versus the Vancouver Canucks at 7 p.m.

The colour red, which stands for cardiovascular disease awareness, will be used in the game in a few different ways. To demonstrate their support, NESN broadcasters will don red attire. Furthermore, TD Garden will be illuminated in red.

Donated tickets for Thursday’s game will benefit survivors and patients with heart disease.

Throughout the game, Tufts Medicine representatives will be tabling on the concourse. At Loge 20, fans can have medical personnel check their blood pressure.

Jim Brown will be honoured by the Massachusetts State Lottery as Thursday’s Community All-Star during the game. During a hockey practice on December 19, Brown attended to a man who had a cardiac episode on the ice and administered CPR. Before paramedics could come, he used an automatic external defibrillator, pulled the man off the ice, and applied chest compressions. Brown saved the man’s life with his swift response and deeds.

DraftKings-sponsored Boston Bruins Foundation 50/50 Raffle proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association, a nonprofit committed to preventing heart disease and stroke and offering assistance to people impacted by cardiovascular conditions. The 50/50 Raffle is open to fans at BostonBruins.com/5050 and will run until the start of the third period.
