Rangers’ Jack Butland ‘on’ England Euro 2024 watchlist

A report claims that Jack Butland has a good chance of making England’s squad for the European Championships this summer.
The Rangers custodian, who joined the Ibrox club this season, has been playing well.
After a tough few years at several Premier League clubs as a backup keeper, he’s been on the rise under Philippe Clement.

With nine caps for his nation, the former goalie for Stoke, Crystal Palace, and Manchester United acknowledged last month that he hoped to force his way back into Gareth Southgate’s plans for the 2024 European Championship in Germany.

Five and a half years after making his final appearance for the Three Lions, the Daily Record now reports that Butland is being watched by England’s coaching staff in the hopes of being included in the 23-man roster.

“The FA sends me videos of Jack’s Rangers appearances, so I have the opportunity to watch every one of his games. After that, I report back to Gareth, although I must admit that, especially recently, I’ve really like what I’ve seen from Jack.

He seems to have thought a great deal about his game. There are numerous moments where it appears that he is genuinely using his knowledge to advance himself in that document. He’s in a wonderful situation tactically, as seen by the positions he’s taking on.He is therefore doing a good deed for himself. Jack deserves all the credit for playing first-team football at a level that makes him a contender.

“He’s representing a major club, and based on what I’ve seen, he’s performing well. While I’m not promising him a spot in the team, Gareth and I am well aware of how well he’s performing at Rangers. It’s now Jack Butland’s responsibility to maintain that. If he does, Jack and the Rangers will both gain from it.
