Report: Cowboys Interview ESPN Personality for Defensive Coordinator Job.

The Dallas Cowboys have interviewed Rex Ryan, a former NFL head coach and current ESPN broadcast personality, for the vacant defensive coordinator post.

Josina Anderson of CBS Sports initially reported Ryan’s interview, which was confirmed by Cowboys beat reporter Clarence Hill Jr.

The Cowboys are searching to replace Dan Quinn, who departed his position as the franchise’s defensive coordinator to become the next head.

He also spent six seasons as the head coach of the New York Jets after a successful career as a defensive coordinator at several venues.

This week, it appears that Ryan is closer to returning to the sidelines than he has been since leaving for television in 2016.
