BREAKING: Dallas Cowboys deny Washington Commanders’ interview request.
The Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders have had a hectic offseason. Washington ended up recruiting new people,
including head coach Dan Quinn and offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury. Dallas has had many interviews to replace Quinn as
defensive coordinator. However, the Cowboys do not want to provide the Commanders with another member of their coaching team.
Dallas Cowboys Block Interview Request for Lunda Wells.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Dallas Cowboys denied an interview request from the Washington Commanders.
Washington apparently wanted to interview Lunda Wells, the Dallas Cowboys’ tight end coach. The plan was to make him the
Commanders’ offensive line coach. However, the Cowboys will not allow this to happen.
Washington Commanders Moving Forward
It makes sense that the Commanders seek to improve the coaching staff on the offensive line. This is something Washington
battled with last season. The Commanders allowed the second-most sacks in the NFL this season.
However, Washington will need to find another solution before the 2024 NFL season begins.
