The controversial Scottish Premiership manager has had his status at the club called into question following a humiliating 5-0 loss to Motherwell. Derek Adams has now hinted that, after just eleven games in command, his brief tenure at Ross County may be coming to an end. After Malky Mackay left the team in November, the manager took over as Dingwall’s manager for the third time.

After taking a beating at the hands of Motherwell, Derek Adams told BBC Sport that he will make the decision about his future as the team’s manager. The Ross County manager continued by saying that talks with the team’s administration are scheduled for this week, coinciding with the team’s Valentine’s Day (14/02) matchup versus the Rangers. “Listen, I will always choose to stay as manager,” Adams declared.

“In my opinion, I’ve been here for eleven games, I’ve said what I’ve said before, and I’ll make a decision at the appropriate time. Adams responded, “Listen, I’ll have a conversation with the chairman and the CEO and go from there,” when asked if he might leave the position.

“In my opinion, I’ve made an effort to intervene and improve the circumstance. I mentioned some weeks ago that the football team is in a challenging situation.I was made aware of the situation, I looked into it honestly, and all I can say is that I’m not shocked. This is challenging for me to say because, although Ross County Football Club is an amazing football team, it is currently facing a lot of challenges.
