Exclusive: Wolves and Ipswich Town open ‘preliminary’ Iheanacho talks.
Wolves and Ipswich Town have begun exploratory discussions to recruit Sevilla striker Kelechi Iheanacho, Football Insider has learnt. The Spanish club has approved the former Leicester City and Manchester City star’s loan out this month. Wolves and Ipswich have expressed interest in a trade and undertaken preliminary talks with Sevilla. Other Premier League clubs, as well as many other top-tier European leagues, are interested in the 28-year-old. Iheanacho only moved to Sevilla on a free transfer from Leicester in the summer, but he could be returning to England soon.
The Nigeria international has made 11 appearances across all competitions this term, scoring three goals.
Seven of those outings have come as part of the starting line-up for Sevilla, who sit mid-table in La Liga after 18 games.

He scored five goals in 23 Championship outings for the Foxes last season.
The 55-cap international has 15 goals for Nigeria since his senior Super Eagles debut in November 2015. Wolves and Ipswich are now 17th and 18th in the Premier League after 20 games of the 2024-25 season.
