Glen Kamara Reflects on Bittersweet Leeds United Exit After Just One Season
Former Leeds United midfielder Glen Kamara has opened up about his “bittersweet” departure from Elland Road after just one season, admitting the club’s near-miss in their quest for promotion to the Premier League weighed heavily on his decision.
Kamara, who joined Leeds from Rangers in the summer of 2023, was widely regarded as a key signing to strengthen the midfield as the club sought an immediate return to England’s top flight. Kamara, meanwhile, left the door open for a potential return to England in the future. “I still believe Leeds are a Premier League club, and I hope they get back there soon. Who knows? Maybe one day I’ll be back to help them finish the job.”
