Everton could accept cut-price Jarrad Branthwaite offer as source reveals ‘massive’ news

Everton may accept Jarrad Branthwaite’s low-ball offer as a source discloses “massive” information.

Football Insider has been informed by sources that Everton may have to approve a low-ball contract for star defender Jarrad Branthwaite during the summer transfer window.

On Monday, February 5, Football Insider disclosed that Man United is in the lead to capture 21-year-old Branthwaite before the summer transfer window opens.

Real Madrid, a massive Spanish team, is reportedly very interested in the Carlisle Academy product.

Nevertheless, Football Insider has been informed by a reliable source that “massive interest” will be generated in a low-cost contract for the England Under-21 international should Everton be relegated in the 2023–24 campaign.

With 15 games remaining in the season, the Toffees are currently in the drop zone after being docked 10 points this season.

Another potential factor in any deal is the proposed takeover of Everton by US-based group 777 Partners, who are still waiting for Premier League approval to complete the deal, which was agreed in September 2023.

Should that takeover fail, clubs might try to capitalize on the Merseysiders’ financial difficulties by making lowball offers for Branthwaite.

So far in the 2023–24 season, the defender has made 26 appearances in all competitions.

Since returning to Everton for the 2022–23 season after a fruitful loan spell at PSV Eindhoven, he has been a revelation for the financially constrained club.

In October 2023, Branthwaite agreed to a new contract at Goodison Park that would last until June 2027.

Everton has dropped their previous six league games and is now just one point from safety in the Premier League.

In other developments, Alisher Usmanov is the expert who is concerned about the £20 million Everton stadium announcement.
