Supercomputer predicts Southampton to finish bottom with X points

Supercomputer predicts Southampton to finish bottom with X points

The infamous supercomputer has spoken. While it has been predicted Southampton to finish bottom, the points tally is a compliment to the Saints.

Southampton is currently at the bottom of the Premier League standings. Southampton hasn’t even reached the double digits in terms of points, even though they are in the second half of the season. With just six points on the board, they aren’t even close.

The Saints currently face a significant chance of becoming the poorest team in Premier League history. They would deprive Derby County of the privilege in the process.

So, in this imaginary universe, where has the supercomputer projected Southampton to finish and how many points will they end on?

Supercomputer predicts Southampton to finish bottom with 19 points

In an ideal world, Southampton would finish outside of the relegation zone; there was a remote chance of this when Ivan Juric was named manager, but he hasn’t yet implemented the football he wants to play, so it now looks inevitable that the Saints will be relegated. However, the Opta supercomputer has predicted Southampton will finish bottom of the table (obviously), but some people are happy that this forecasting sees the Saints finish with 19 points, avoiding becoming the worst team in Premier League history.

It would be unfortunate if the players lost hope. Although it would take a miracle, there is a slim chance that relegation can be avoided. However, if there is even a glimmer of hope in the Southampton dressing room, it would be a miracle.

It was encouraging to see Adam Lallana recently accept the reality of being demoted. The Southampton players should speak to the supporters about it because they bear the majority of the blame.
