Bruins Supporters Will Totally Embrace David Pastrnak’s Response To Toronto Boos

When David Pastrnak was named for the All-Star Skills Challenge at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, he was met with an ovation akin to that of Public Enemy No. 1. Pastrnak grinned and planted a kiss on the Spoked-B’s Boston Bruins jersey as he skated out to a cacophonous chain of jeers.

Throughout his career, the Bruins forward has faced the All-Star host Maple Leafs in 26 games with 18 goals and 14 assists for 32 points. During introductions, the fans showed their dislike for him.

Fans crowded around the prolific goal scorer, demanding his autograph as he walked the red carpet in his black and gold attire. The Bruins sniper may not be a Toronto fan favorite, but his daughter Freya made headlines of her own when she perched on her father’s knee during his media appearance. Stars from the Eastern and Western Conferences will square off in the annual All-Star Game on Saturday following the Skills Challenge on Friday night.

In tonight’s All-Star player draft, Pastrnak was chosen by Team McDavid. As Connor McDavid’s teammates, he will be joined by Connor Hellebuyck, Leon Draisaitl, Rasmus Dahlin, Robert Thomas, Boone Jenner, Nick Suzuki, Tomas Hertl, and Sam Reinhart. At the All-Star game, the native of Czechia is accompanied by head coach Jim Montgomery and goaltender Jeremy Swayman of the Bruins. It’s Montgomery’s second consecutive appearance and Swayman’s first.
