Everyone knows of his incompetence. It’s the Premier League now that needs condemning.
Fortunately, Richard Keys and Andy Gray have at least started to speak about it on beIN Sports, shedding some light on a torrid situation for the club and its undeserving fanbase.
Considering the latter had two prosperous seasons at Goodison Park in the 1980s, his connection is widely known.
He scored goals in the FA Cup and the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup during that time, and he is still well-liked on Merseyside despite being sold out to make room for Gary Lineker.
That has not changed since his transition into a pundit, and his conversation with Keys sought to offer their thoughts on how successful their ongoing appeal might prove to be.
Speaking on beIN Sports, Keys first noted: ‘Well, the appeal starts tomorrow, I don’t think we need to say anything more.’
“May I ask you a question?” Gray asked a question. What instinct tells you? as you’re constantly aware of these kinds of tales.
But the response he so desperately wanted to hear was, “Not this.” I’ve moved away from it since it’s too near to home. Before Keys began again, the Scotsman hinted that he had hoped for a more encouraging response: “My gut tells me they might say, give you a couple points back and say look.”
However, Gray interrupted again before he could say anything more: “A couple?! And when we’re done again, take them off of us once more.
It took until this week for the formal appeal procedure to begin, even though Everton was docked ten points in November, sending them back to the bottom of the Premier League.
Luckily, it provided the Toffees plenty of time to recruit a rare January player, bringing in the esteemed Laurence Rabinowitz of Kansas City to defend their position in the legal department.
His presence should instill hope in a fan base that has been devoid of it for years, along with what appears to be an overwhelming amount of evidence that favors Everton.
According to Alan Myers, the public will be able to see the results by the middle of February. However, if the results are bad for the Merseyside team, the Premier League will gladly share the news with different media in the days leading up to the announcement, just as they appear to have done with important details all along the way.
