As the former Rangers manager signs a Leeds United defender, Celtic receive a six-figure transfer windfall.

A former Celtic youth standout has joined Sunderland of the Championship.

Scottish champions Celtic will get paid six figures this month after former Rangers captain Michael Beale signed with them.

Beale, who was sacked from his role at Ibrox in October, is currently Sunderland’s manager.

He has had a difficult time adjusting to life in the dugout, winning just three of his first eight games in all competitions. His goal is to lead the Black Cats into the Premier League for the first time since 2017.
