There was real anticipation for the Swede’s arrival, perhaps because the Serie A team, who had been attempting to sign him for some time, considered the agreement to be a coup.
Nuovo Quotidiano di Puglia reports on Celtic’s intention to postpone the talks. Calcio Lecce relays this information, and they are insistent that the Scottish side “must” respond to Lecce on Wednesday regarding whether or not they will permit Lagerbielke to make the move.
The centre-back is said to have already ‘had an agreement’ with the Italians ‘for some time’, and the talks are said to be at a ‘turning point’.
There is a need to understand whether the ‘little problems’ that emerged on Tuesday ‘will be overcome’, and something has to happen in the next few hours, because if Celtic will stand in his way, then Lecce ‘will have to look elsewhere’.

They are a little behind schedule in their reporting, as they do not mention what transpired late on Tuesday despite claiming the 23-year-old is “one step away” from being signed by the Italians.
Even though, as we all know, circumstances have changed since then, there was still, and probably still is, excitement in the hopes that Celtic will deliver the much-needed news.
