According to Football Scotland, Rangers are unlikely to sanction Cyriel Dessers’ departure this window

until they find a replacement for him.

The news agency released an update on January 31,

after Gianluca Di Marzio revealed the day before that Verona and Torino are interested in signing the

Nigerian.

However, no deal for the 29-year-old is expected to go through unless a new striker arrives.

The report reads: “However, with the Light Blues short on options up front,

it remains highly unlikely that they would sanction Dessers’ quick return to Italy without first signing a

replacement.”

It was disclosed over the weekend that Rangers scouts were in the stands watching Lawrence

Shankland score in

Hearts’ 2-0 win over Aberdeen, and the Scotland international has heavily linked with a move to Govan

all month.”
