Benfica transfer stance emerges amid Everton January loan links – Fabrizio Romano

Fabrizio Romano shares Benfica stance as Everton launch Florentino Luis transfer push.

To get rid of Gallup’s money, the Cowboys will give up a third-round pick in the next season’s draft.

Burks has only 49 receptions for 665 yards in 15 games over the last two seasons, making him a hazardous prospect.

In 2023, he had a 52.4 grade from Pro Football Focus, placing him 119th out of 128 receivers. He has a $3.9 million cap hit, and despite his struggles, he is a 6-foot-2 former first-team All-SEC receiver with 4.55 speed.

According to Ben Jacobs (January 29), Sean Dyche’s team is interested in bringing the midfielder to Goodison Park on loan before the transfer deadline of Thursday, February 1.

Romano wrote on X: “Understand Benfica are not willing to let Florentino Luis depart on loan to Everton, despite recent links.

Benfica sees a loan deal as impossible in the last days of the window.

Gutting

After a quiet start to the month at Goodison Park, it appeared like Everton had finally begun to ramp up their transfer activity with a genuinely thrilling signing in the final days of the market.

However, such a move appears to be out of the question, with a loan swap for Luis now unfeasible, which is not surprising given Benfica’s limited time to replace him before the transfer deadline.

Given Everton’s current financial situation, it is unlikely that the club will be able to secure the midfielder’s services on a permanent basis this month,

particularly with the approaching danger of FFP.

Perhaps something will change in the last days of the transfer window, but for the time being, this one does not appear to be going anywhere unless something drastic happens suddenly.
