A sizable core of young players from Celtic are currently on loan in different settings, gaining valuable first-team experience.

“How he dribbles with the ball, his touches and passes. There are not many midfielders like that in the Championship in England, let alone League One. So he has got a bright future. He is at a big football club in Celtic.”

“We are lucky to have him here at Fleetwood, and in the coming months to the end of the season, we will send a better player back than when he came in here.”

Lawal, who joined the club in 2021 for approximately £150,000 from Watford, is now 20 years old, and it seems like a long time.

The Irishman has made a name for himself south of the border. According to Sofascore, he has been very active this season, averaging 1.8 tackles, 3.8 clearances, and five ball recoveries per League One match.
