Nottingham Forest B-team star sighted in first-team training ahead of Ipswich Town

Nuno Espirito Santo acknowledges that the Nottingham Forest academy is a source of pride.

When Espirito Santo first took Steve Cooper’s place at Wolves, fans were concerned about his lack of academy selection, but those concerns were quickly allayed.

Ryan Yates is still a vital member of the Forest team, but since taking over, the head coach has used Joe Gardner, Zach Abbott, and Brandon Aguilera.

With ten games left in the 2024–25 season, Forest is currently in third place in the Premier League standings and is doing exceptionally well.

Even though there are a lot of games coming up, Espirito Santo is eager to make sure the B-Team kids have the chance to practice with his team.

It appears that one prospective possibility has been tested with the team’s top players prior to Saturday’s match against Ipswich.

Archie Whitehall was seen working out with the first team of Nottingham Forest.
Sky Sports has been covering Forest at the training facility since they are vying for a Champions League spot.

Whitehall, the teenage captain of the B-Team, was seen among the group as the cameras followed Espirito Santo and his coaches as they conducted a training session.

The youngster has had a good season. Whitehall scored the game-winning goal for Forest in their EFL Trophy victory over Carlisle.

Whitehall, a young midfielder, also displayed Ryan Yates-like traits as the B-Team advanced in the Nottinghamshire County Cup in November.

Whitehall may be in Espirito Santo’s future plans, and it is obvious that young people are getting their chance to learn from the existing crop.

The Forest B-Team advances to the semi-final of the Premier League International Cup.
It is now evident why Whitehall was left off of the squad that defeated Nordsjaelland at Loughborough University Stadium last night.

The 18-year-old is obviously working with the first team, and it will give him a taste of what it takes to play regularly with these players.

Whitehall can pick up a lot of skills from players as a central midfielder. In the center of the park, Yates is joined by Nicolas Dominguez, Ibrahim Sangare, Danilo, and Elliot Anderson.

Espirito Santo’s encouragement of young players to participate in his training sessions is fantastic, and it will be interesting to watch how Whitehall develops going forward.
