Championship promotion 2024/25: Leeds, Sheff Utd, Burnley, Sunderland front-runners in race to reach the Premier League
Sheffield United went to the top of the Championship on Tuesday night, but Leeds can re-establish a two-point lead with a win on Wednesday; Burnley and Sunderland are also vying for automatic promotion; nine other teams, including Coventry and Bristol City, are in the race for the play-offs.
With only nine games remaining in the 2024/25 season, the race for promotion from the Championship to the Premier League is heating up once more. Sheffield United leads the table after a 1-1 draw with Bristol City on Tuesday night. Tyrese Campbell scored for the third game in a row to put the Blades in front, but Mark Sykes equalized late on.
