Supercomputer predicted Leeds United’s final position, following Portsmouth’s defeat.

This season, Leeds United has not had an easy road to the top of the Championship, as Burnley and Sheffield United are chasing them.

The Whites’ shocking 1-0 loss to Portsmouth at Fratton Park on Sunday didn’t do anything to improve their chances of automatic promotion.

Many people thought Leeds would have too much talent for their opponents to handle, and that the Whites would travel to the South Coast and return with all three points.
However, Leeds was unable to defeat John Mousinho’s team, much like in the 3-3 draw at Elland Road on the first day.

Daniel Farke’s team might become a little anxious about the future as a result of this defeat.

They appeared to be well on their way to capturing the Championship championship before the match, but now there may be some uncertainty brewing among the players and their supporters.

Leeds still has a 64% probability of winning the title, though, and is predicted to place top, according to a recent update from the Opta supercomputer (10 March).

With a 20.50 probability of winning the championship, the Blades are the team most likely to finish in second place, while Burnley, led by Scott Parker, is still expected to place third. The likelihood of them adding the title to their cabinet is 15.12%.

Farke must return Leeds United to their winning ways.

Even though Farke’s team has recently ended a 17-game winning streak, they have now lost both of their previous games.

On March 1, Leeds drew 1-1 with West Brom in a fairly end-to-end match, and their loss to Pompey on Sunday followed a similar pattern.

Even though Leeds had four shots on goal and 58% of the possession at the end of the game, Mousinho’s team more than equaled their output.

Farke needs to bring Leeds back to winning ways as quickly as possible if they don’t want to go into the season’s last few games with a lot of doubts.

If this isn’t the case, things could quickly go wrong.
