Luke Littler retains Belgian Darts Open title to deny rival history-making crown.
Luke Littler won the Belgian Darts Open again, defeating local favourite Mike De Decker in the final.
The 18-year-old sensation came into the competition having won it last year and coming up against a crowd pulling for De Decker.

But Littler, as he has done so many times in his young career, retained his cool and won 8-5. Littler, who averaged above 100 in four of his five matches, defeated James Wade, Dave Chisnall, Luke Woodhouse, and Ryan Searle on the way to the final. Littler wins the title, earning £30,000, while also denying De Decker a historic victory. If De Decker had won, he would have become the first Belgian player to win a European title at home.
Littler, who defeated Rob Cross in last year’s final, wins the Belgian Darts Open for the third time in 2025, having previously won the PDC World Championship in January and the UK Open last weekend. “He’s head and shoulders above everyone else now, to the point where he plays his own mini-games in the middle of his battles, offering different methods to end. One example is “treble 19, bull, treble 19 – why?” “Littler’s dominance is arguably the best thing that’s ever happened to darts,” a different enthusiast added. “Players are earning more money than ever before, thanks in large part to Littler’s arrival on the scene and reigniting darts’ popularity. “His fellow professionals won’t believe it’s wrecked, in fact they’ll probably thank him.”
“I’ll save ‘Luke Littler wins the…’ in my drafts from now on.” “It’s all he f****** does,” one fan stated. The Warrington wonderkid is currently preparing for night six of the Premier League in Nottingham on Thursday night. He won on night five in Brighton, defeating Nathan Aspinall in the final. Littler’s second Premier League win this season comes as he attempts to defend the crown he earned on his debut last year. Littler’s way of triumph has impressed supporters the most.
