Footballer kills father of five in crash

Jordan Robertson, a former Sheffield United footballer, was apprehended on Christmas Day after a collision on the M1 motorway.

Robertson was operating his Mercedes sports vehicle when it collided with a Ford Galaxy being operated by Omar Mohamed, a resident of Leicester.

Mohamed was airlifted from the scene to a hospital in Coventry, where he passed away the following day due to a fractured neck sustained in the incident.

He was the former captain and later the coach of the Somali national basketball team, and he was a father of five.

It appears that Robertson was in the process of changing music on his iPod when the accident occurred, and he was apprehended on suspicion of hazardous driving.

It is unlikely that Robertson was under the influence of alcohol or narcotics at the time of the collision.

This is the most recent in a string of severe accidents involving British footballers, and the public has long considered football players to be some of the most hazardous and reckless drivers in Britain, if not the entire globe.

There is a valid reason why laws prohibit the use of phones and similar devices while driving.

However, even in the absence of such legislation, it is advisable to exercise caution and refrain from fiddling with your devices while operating a vehicle.
