Former Football League defender Guy Branston has urged Blackburn Rovers attacker Tyrhys Dolan to join a team such as Norwich City this summer.
Blackburn Rovers risk losing the player at the end of the season. His contract with Rovers expires in late June, and he will become a free agent as things stand.
Dolan, 23, faces an uncertain future at Ewood Park, and it’s unclear whether he’ll stay. He has made 37 appearances in all competitions this season, 34 of them in the league, and he has four goals and five assists.
Former Rotherham United, Sheffield Wednesday, and Rotherham United centre-back Branston has given his opinion on his situation, writing in the Football League Paper (09.03.25, page 39): “I could see him going Norwich or somewhere similar, but by that stage, you’re very much talking about clubs of Blackburn’s level. Perhaps Europe? Of course, we don’t know why he hasn’t signed a new deal.
“His agent will inform him of his interest. He presumably has an opinion about himself and believes his data is powerful. For all we know, he may be fed up with playing for Blackburn. We cannot read his mind.”
Blackburn Rovers’ update on Tyrhys
Dolan Dolan will examine his choices and see who may be interested. The forward would be an excellent addition to another second-tier squad on a free transfer.
