“A lot can happen” – Player happy at Nottingham Forest, but says specific transfer ‘would be incredible’
Jota Silva of Nottingham Forest has stated that he would like to collaborate with Rui Borges once more.
The 25-year-old’s interview with the Record includes a part devoted to his former manager.
The winger has made 28 appearances for Nottingham Forest since joining from Vitória de Guimarães in August of last year.
Before moving to Nottingham Forest, Borges collaborated with Jota Silva at the Portuguese club. The manager moved to Sporting from Vitória de Guimarães in December of last year.
During a brief stint last summer, the Portugal international trained with Borges. After leaving Vitória de Guimarães, the two have remained in touch and were able to bond fast. The Nottingham Forest player made this revelation.
“Yes, we have already spoken and stayed in contact, particularly with Tiago [Aguiar], the deputy. The newspaper’s precise question about Jota Silva’s desire to play under Borges once more was not shocking. They even said that joining Sporting will enable him to play for a prestigious Portuguese team.
The attacker has stated that he is now content with the Premier League club, but he has left the door open.
“I’ve already stated that I think Borges is an excellent coach and that he means a lot to me, so it would be amazing if we ever collaborated again. Yes, it would be good. Right now, nobody knows when or if it will occur, including you and me.
