
Coventry City to celebrate International Women’s Day during Stoke game
This weekend, COVENTRY City will commemorate International Women’s Day during their match against Stoke City.
Stoke will be the guests of the Sky Blues at the Coventry Building Society Arena on Saturday, March 8, with the match commencing at 12:30 p.m.
International Women’s Day coincides with the contest, and Coventry will commemorate the significance of women at the club by commemorating the occasion.
Doug King, the executive chairman and proprietor of Coventry, expressed his enthusiastic support for International Women’s Day 2025 this Saturday, stating, “We are delighted to demonstrate our unwavering commitment to this important event.”
“We are proud of the significant contributions that women make to the Sky Blues and our success, as they hold a variety of positions within our football club.”

On the big screen and over the tannoy, the Sky Blues will demonstrate their solidarity with International Women’s Day.
Additionally, they will include features in the matchday programme and a pre-match playlist that is exclusively for women.
Ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, the club saw an increase of more than 20 per cent in female season ticket holders.
The club also support a number of schemes to enhance the environment and inclusivity for female supporters
Sky Blues in the Community operate a variety of initiatives for women and girls, including their Girls Player Development Centres and Girls Emerging Talent Centres (GETC) with the FA.
They also operate initiatives such as the WomenTalk mental health programme.
Players from SBitC’s GETC will function as ball collectors for the Stoke game.
