Pep Guardiola makes £50 million Aston Villa request as Man City eyes stunning deal swoop.

According to reports, Pep Guardiola has asked Manchester City scouts to closely monitor Jacob Ramsey as the Cityzens contemplate a possible move for the Aston Villa midfielder.

Ramsey has only scored three goals and provided four assists in 31 games, so statistically speaking, it may not be his best season to date, but the dynamic playmaker’s overall performance has greatly improved.

After two years marred by injuries and fitness issues, Unai Emery has done a fantastic job of getting Ramsey back to playing at a regular level and helping him establish himself as a vital member of Villa’s lineup.

Ramsey’s rhythm has been slightly disrupted by Marcus Rashford’s arrival, but the competition should ultimately be beneficial in helping Villa’s academy product reach his full potential.

The 23-year-old, who inverts inside as a number 10 but frequently plays on the left wing, has forged an excellent relationship with Morgan Rogers, another Englishman.

Thomas Tuchel, the new England manager, is reportedly keeping an eye on Ramsey’s performances this season before selecting his first Three Lions group. Ramsey is being considered despite the fierce battle for spots, particularly in attacking midfield.

Ramsey happy at Villa

BirminghamWorld is aware that Ramsey is happy at Villa and isn’t interested in moving away, even though there is increasing interest from other places. The 16-time England under-21 player is content with his present playing time and likes working with Emery, whom he feels is essential to his development.

Although a move to City is now doubtful, Ramsey’s head could still turn in the future. The Etihad Stadium and other possible locations are undoubtedly appealing; Ramsey is just in a terrific frame of mind right now and doesn’t want to be distracted by outside noise.

There is an important season to finish before any business can begin, and the summer transfer window doesn’t open until June 12 anyhow. The idea of a move is currently of the utmost importance because Villa is four points below the top four in the Premier League, getting ready for an FA Cup quarterfinal, and now entering the last phases of the Champions League.
