A MAN is to go on trial accused of having sex with children.
Mark Bradford appeared at Reading Crown Court on Wednesday, March 5.
The 59-year-old from Newbury, who wore a dark suit and tie in the dock, faces four charges in total.
He gave two addresses – one in Rowan Drive and the other in an apartment in Oddfellows Hall, Craven Road.
The charges include causing or inciting a girl aged 13 to 15 years to engage in sexual activity involving penetration and touching an underage girl in a sexual manner, involving penetration.
The offences listed above were committed in West Berkshire on specific dates.
Mr. Bradford, who was legally represented, only spoke to confirm his details and pleaded not guilty to each charge.
The court clerk clarified that the offences were indictable, which means they can only be heard in a crown court, not a magistrates court.
Mr. Bradford was released on bail with conditions pending a preliminary hearing at Reading Crown Court later this month, as ordered by District Judge Samuel Goozee.
