Blackburn Rovers could collect a huge sell-on fee this summer, with Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton valued at £70 million and interest from Real Madrid.
According to the Daily Mail, Madrid scouts are monitoring the 21-year-old player for a potential summer transfer.
Wharton joined Palace in January 2024 for £22 million and has quickly become a prominent player at Selhurst Park, excelling with consistent performances.
He is the most recent Eagles Championship expat, playing at the heart of Oliver Glasner’s midfield, and his achievements last season won him a berth in England’s Euro 2024 squad.
While he has been limited by injury this season, he has recently returned to form and was outstanding in Palace’s 4-1 victory against Aston Villa last week.
Rovers’ transfer executives will closely monitor Wharton’s development. If he secures a move, the club might receive a significant financial boost.

If the trade goes through for the reported fee, Rovers will gain about £5 million – a significant windfall for a player they sold only 18 months ago.
