Exclusive: Ruud van Nistelrooy sack news emerges from Leicester City

According to sources who spoke to Football Insider, Leicester City is not currently contemplating a managerial change as pressure mounts to fire current manager Ruud van Nistelrooy.
The 48-year-old, who took Steve Cooper’s place in December, has had a difficult time avoiding relegation, as evidenced by his recent decline in form.
Van Nistelrooy’s team is currently 19th and five points from safety after Cooper was fired in late November when Leicester was 16th in the standings.
Despite requiring more sweeping reinforcements, Leicester only added Woyo Coulibaly during the January transfer window, which left the Dutchman unhappy.
As the 2024–25 season comes to a close, Van Nistelrooy’s team now has three games left: against Chelsea, Manchester United, and Manchester City.
It is thought that Leicester won’t react hastily to subpar performance, but if they are further cut adrift, they might consider making a move for a replacement.
