Aston Villa enter race to sign £215k-a-week goal-machine

Aston Villa is anticipated to sign a replacement for striker Jhon Duran in the summer after losing him during the January transfer window.

With Ollie Watkins spearheading their attack and Marco Asensio and Marcus Rashford providing goals and assists, they have performed admirably thus far without Duran.

To add depth to the squad, the team needs a true number nine, and Unai Emery has determined who he wants to sign.

Aston Villa has joined Arsenal in the pursuit of Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic, according to Teamtalk.

The attacker is being offered a new contract by Juventus but on lower terms which may open the door for his exit from the Italian club.

Vlahovic currently earns £215,000 per week as per the report but with Juventus offering him a decreased salary, he is considering leaving the club.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for Vlahovic for a long time with Mikel Arteta looking to solve his team’s goal scoring issues.

Along with RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko, Vlahovic is the attacker high on the wish list for the Gunners boss.

Although they haven’t inquired about the striker yet, Aston Villa is still very interested in him and is prepared to make a bid in the summer.

The club owners have given Emery a lot of support, and the Spaniard has responded by turning Villa into a competitive team.

The attacker has lately been offered by Vlahovic’s representatives to a number of European clubs, including Newcastle, Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund, and Marseille.

Vlahovic finds it appealing that Villa will play in Europe the next season, and he might think about moving to the Premier League to play for them.

The attacker would be available for a price of about £50 million, which both Arsenal and Aston Villa can comfortably afford.
