Alexander Isak may be one of the most in-demand players in world football come the summer transfer window.

The Newcastle striker has been in red hot form this season, and with Newcastle potentially set to miss out on Champions League football next season, a move could be on the cards.

Isak is Arsenal’s dream target heading into the summer, but Liverpool have also been linked with Isak in recent times as well as Darwin Nunez’s future looks unclear.

Speaking on Stick to Football, Ian Wright and Jamie Carragher have been discussing Isak’s future, and Wright has named which team Isak is more likely to sign for.

Alexander Isak more likely to join Liverpool than Arsenal

Wright shared his verdict on Isak’s future and where he’s likely to end up.

According to the pundit, Isak is more likely to end up at Liverpool than Arsenal in the summer as Arne Slot tries to build a team in his own vision for the first time.

“Let’s say Arsenal and Liverpool are both in the market for a striker, and I know this will upset Liverpool fans, but do you think it is realistic that another Premier League side could sign Isak?” Wright was asked.

“I mean, with what he’s done now nad how he is, if I had the money I’d buy him for £120m,” Wright said.

“If he has the decision between Liverpool and Arsenal where do you think he’d go?” Carragher asked.

“He’d probably go to Liverpool. I like to think that Arteta could convince him, but if we’re talking about Slot and the fact Slot doesn’t have his own team, that seems like it may be a more attractive proposition,” Wright said.

Isak is wanted by both Liverpool and Arsenal, and it’s clear to see why both teams are keen on the Newcastle ace.

Indeed, Isak has been the best player in England outside of the supposed ‘Big Six’ in recent years, and his form this term has been incredible.

Isak has been electric this season, and while Newcastle won’t be keen to sell him, if they don’t get into the top four, the player may well want to move in order to compete for major honours and play Champions League football.

As Wright says, £120m may be the fee required to sign the striker, making this a potential record signing for either Arsenal or Liverpool, but when you have the chance to sign a striker of this ilk, you have to push the boat out.

Where Isak ends up this summer remains to be seen, but he could be in line for a blockbuster move.
