“Stats don’t lie” – Graham Alexander praised for delivering something at Bradford City not seen since Phil Parkinson was there

The Bantams had a difficult start to the season, as fans criticized the manager for both performances and outcomes.

They are now sixth in the rankings, though, after a run in which they have earned 29 of the final 39 points available.

With 14 games remaining, they are only one point behind second-place Doncaster Rovers, so if they maintain their strong play, they could still receive an automatic promotion spot this season.

Boris Thomson, a Bradford fan analyst for FLW, stated that Alexander, 53, is the ideal candidate for the position when asked about their opinions of him.

In addition to praising his development of rising star Bobby Pointon, he feels that the board’s support was essential in helping this team come together.

Thomson told Football League World, “I think it’s natural for any manager, even the very best managers, to need a bit of time to find their feet.”

But the numbers don’t lie: we haven’t had a 50% victory rate since Phil Parkinson, which was around ten years ago, and that’s what we have right now.

Graham Alexander’s ability to implement the football he wants to play and sign the players he wants to is largely dependent on the board giving him the support he needs, in my opinion.

Additionally, the team appears to have bonded over the past six months and is aware of each other’s preferred methods of playing football.

And it’s actually begun to work.

Young guys like Bobby Pointon, who is arguably our most gifted player, have been promoted by him.
