Herbert Hainer wants Thomas Müller to work at Bayern Munich after retiring from football
The moment to bid our very own Thomas Müller farewell is drawing closer by the second. He spends the majority of the season on the bench because he doesn’t play a specific position in Bayern Munich’s system under Vincent Kompany. Similar to former teammate Philipp Lahm, Bayern hopes that the 35-year-old Raudeuter will join the team after playing, but Müller is ultimately responsible for this.
Club president Herbert Hainer stated, “For Thomas, that depends on his fitness and how he feels” (as captured by the @iMiaSanMia Twitter account). Because we want to include him in some capacity with FC Bayern, we also want to discuss with him what he plans to do once his career is over. He must determine for himself if he wants to take a break after such a lengthy and active career or whether he wants to do it right away.
Fans generally agree that Müller is a perfect fit for the coaching position at Bayern.
