Africa Foot claims that the Eagles are interested in the 26-year-old and are closely monitoring his performances in anticipation of a possible trade for his services when the transfer market reopens.
This season, the midfielder has made 33 appearances for Tom Cleverley’s team, contributing to their play-off chances and scoring eight goals. They are currently three points out of sixth place, and it seems unlikely that they will keep their number 39 unless they get promoted.

Given the Eagles’ interest in Kayembe, Carlton Palmer said in an exclusive interview with Football League World that it might be time for him to look for his career’s next move.
“Watford are three points off a play-off place, and there has been a lot of interest in their midfielder, Edo Kayembe,” Palmer stated.
“Crystal Palace will be in the Premier League the following season since they are closely monitoring him and have lately improved.
Since his arrival at Watford in 2022, Kayembe has excelled. He has shown off his exceptional athleticism and agility in midfield. It might be time for him to go on with his career because he is still only 26 and has had a few exceptional individual seasons in the Championship.
Watford will need to consider it because his contract expires in the summer of 2026.
“I don’t think Watford will qualify for the playoffs. It will be a difficult decision, and I can see them taking advantage of Kayembe if they don’t.
“Due to his contract, he won’t be extremely expensive, and Palace hopes he will be one of the players who follow in the footsteps of Olise and Eze, who have excelled there.
“If Watford aren’t promoted and he has the chance to go to the Premier League, then, of course, he will want to go.”
