
According to the Environment Agency, flooding is ‘likely’ in the Upper Bristol Avon area beginning at 9 p.m. on February 23.
The orange notice states: “Rising river levels overnight may cause flooding.”
“No property flooding is expected.
“Flooding of roadways and low-lying areas is possible, but property flooding is not forecast.
“The most vulnerable sites are low-lying regions near Tetbury, Badminton, Brook End at Luckington, Corsham, Lacock, and the road at Reybridge.
“Flooding is expected to affect areas near Bristol Avon, Tetbury Avon, Sherston Avon, and Dauntsey Brook.”
“Further flooding is anticipated tomorrow, as river levels are expected to rise due to heavy rain.
“We are actively watching the situation, including rainfall and river levels.
“Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.”
