Three Reading FC players named in EFL League One team of the season so far

The Who Scored’s League One team of the season thus far features three Reading FC players who have been singled out for their outstanding performances throughout the season.

Despite all of the chaos off the pitch, the Royals are enjoying an incredible season on the pitch.

Before Ruben Selles left in December to join Championship team Hull City, they had a strong start to the season.

Noel Hunt has been able to keep up the momentum for a play-off drive since taking Selles’ place. His team is currently three points behind the top six in ninth place with 50 points from 32 games.

According to the Who Scored team of the season, the Royals now have the most players of any team in the league.

Harvey Knibbs has a rating of 7.1, Lewis Wing is in midfield with a rating of 7.3, and Joel Pereira is in goal with an average rating of 6.9.

Wing has been the heartbeat of the Reading team in central midfield and has four goals and six assists to his name in the league having become known for hitting long range screamers throughout his time with the club.

Meanwhile, Knibbs is Reading’s top scorer this season with 11 League One goals from 29 matches.

That tally puts him in 6th position in the division top scorers, with also two assists to his name.

Reading face an away trip to Wigan Athletic this weekend as they look to maintain their push for a top six finish.
