Europa League tie descends into CHAOS with THREE stoppage time goals forcing extra time – before Bodo/Glimt beat FC Twente.

Bodo/Glimt had renewed hope in the second half when Kasper Hogh scored a penalty to cut the gap, but the match ended chaotically. During the second minute of stoppage time, Twente defender Mees Hilgers deflected a Bodo/Glimt cross into his own net. A miraculous reversal appeared to be complete only two minutes later, with full back Brice Wembangomo hitting a magnificent driven strike from outside the box for the hosts. Wembangomo’s effort provoked exuberant celebrations from Bodo/Glimt players and spectators in the stands, but the joy was short-lived.

As the clock ticked past the referee’s five-minute additional time, Twente unexpectedly forced extra time when Sem Steijn scrambled the ball across the line from close range. Steijn’s late equaliser sparked celebrations from the Twente bench, who were then visibly nervous when the goal was examined by VAR for a possible handball before being confirmed. The action continued in extra time, with Bodo/Glimt scoring two more goals to advance to the competition’s last 16 round.

Sondre Fet gave Norway the lead again in the 111th minute from a corner kick. Their spot was guaranteed when Twente’s Arno Verschueren scored his third own goal of the game, putting Bodo/Glimt ahead 5-2.
