The organisers of a much-loved Ipswich car boot sale have announced the event will not be taking place this year.

The event ran between March and September and often had a food stall as well as an ice cream van.

In a post on social media, organisers said the decision to stop the event “wasn’t easy”.

They added: “We can’t do it any longer.

“At first we would like to thank to the people who really supported us through this year’s of running Foxhall Bootsale.

“We would like to thank the people who really supported us through these years of running Foxhall Bootsale. You were coming every Sunday with smiles on your faces no matter how many sellers show up.

“Also thank you to the sellers as without you we wouldn’t be able to run it.

“For us it was an amazing journey. We met many fantastic people and all the great memories with our Foxhall Bootsale family will stay with us forever.”
