Even if they do not qualify for the Champions League, Newcastle will not let their prized striker go
Newcastle United will reject FC Barcelona’s approach this summer to get Alexander Isak, according to the latest rumors. In fact, they will reject any team’s approach, choosing to keep him no matter what.
Currently, Newcastle sit in seventh place in the Premier League. They have lost three of their last four games, dropping them down the table. Still, the report says Newcastle have no intentions to sell any of their stars, including Isak, even if they do not qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
Reportedly, their Financial Fair Play position is strong and they are ready to absorb the inevitable loss of revenue from failing to qualify for the Champions League.
Barcelona had identified Isak as one of their top targets to reinforce the striker position. Robert Lewandowski remains the starter and will be 37 next season.
