Talk over the future of Solomon at Leeds has gathered pace in recent days.
The future of Manor Solomon has become a topic this week, with the player said to be happy at Elland Road and Leeds also happy with how his loan has gone.
The winger has scored seven goals and assisted seven in the Championship this season, and it has resulted in talk about the Whites signing him on a permanent basis. However, a Leeds reporter has revealed that Leeds are still undecided about whether to make Solomon’s move a permanent one, as several factors still need to be looked at.
As well as weighing up Solomon’s future, Leeds are also keeping an eye on Kyle Walker-Peters, as he is set to become a free transfer at the end of the season. It looks unlikely that he will sign a new contract at Southampton.
Leeds considering signing £5m Sunderland star and Ivory Coast striker
There are now two new players joining the Whites’ transfer shortlist, as according to TEAMtalk, Leeds are interested in signing Wilson Isidor and Evann Guessand from Sunderland and Nice, respectively.
It is reported that Isidor has been shortlisted by Leeds, as he continued his excellent campaign by netting his 12th Championship goal against the Whites on Monday night. Isidor is not the only option for Daniel Farke’s side, as they are also keeping a close eye on Guessand, who has nine Ligue 1 goals to his name this season.
Both players are very young but have proven this season that they are clinical goalscorers. Isidor joined the Black Cats on loan originally in the summer, but in the January transfer window, it was made into a permanent transfer, with Sunderland reportedly paying Zenit St. Petersburg 6 million euros (£5 million).
Meanwhile, Guessand, who has been dubbed “very interesting” by analyst Ben Mattinson, joined Nice in 2014 and in the last two seasons has become a regular in the starting XI, chipping in with goals and earning his first Ivory Coast cap.
Both players are having very productive campaigns, and Leeds need to add more firepower to their forward line, as Patrick Bamford continues to struggle with injuries, meaning Joel Piroe is heavily relied upon.
The concern would be that Isidor or Guessand haven’t played in the Premier League before, but they could be two low-key signings who give Leeds a different edge in the Premier League, should they secure promotion.
