Even though Norwich is currently in 12th place, Sainz was a standout in the second division in the early going of this season, with 15 league goals that put him atop the scoring rankings.

The most recent team to be linked to a move is Serie A team Napoli, after Girona expressed interest in the Canaries in January and there were earlier rumors that Galatasaray and Atletico Madrid were prepared to approach the Canaries.

Prior to his six-game suspension for spitting in December, his form declined. However, he is now healthy and will try to lead Johannes Hoff Thorup’s team to a top-six finish this season, with a possible summer transfer to another team for a significant sum of money.
