Children in lockdown to learn about Leeds United
Children who are unable to attend school due to the coronavirus outbreak have been informed that they can study the history of Leeds United as part of their coursework.
The opportunity to learn about the team’s “glory days” while receiving instruction at home has been extended to children.
The city’s football heritage is included in an online learning resource being shared with parents to help keep children entertained.
According to the council, it was a useful tool for supporting at-home learning.
It includes images of key events in the club’s past, like manager Don Revie hugging captain Billy Bremner during the FA Cup triumph in 1972.

It covers a variety of subjects, including ancient Leeds, the city’s industrial past, and modern-day Leeds life, in addition to sports expertise.
It would provide families with “a free, structured learning resource that enables them to explore a range of stories, subjects and exhibits” from the city’s museums and galleries, according to Councillor Judith Blake.
