Sky Sports: Reading FC and Nottingham Forest star scoops annual prize.

Reading defender Tyler Bindon won Emerging Talent at the prestigious Halberg Awards in New Zealand last night. The 21-year-old, who went to Nottingham Forest earlier this month but will remain in Berkshire until May, has been one of League One’s stars since joining in 2023, making nearly 100 appearances and finishing second in last year’s Player of the Season voting. Along with his club success, the defender has established himself as a key member of his national team, which competed in the Olympic Games last summer. The awards, named after Sir Murray Halberg, New Zealand’s middle-distance runner and Olympic gold medallist, are given out annually to recognise the country’s outstanding athletic achievements.
